The Lord of Dark build is centered around dealing heavy amounts of Dark damage.
Dark Damage is delivered via melee weapons, and/or hexes. A fast bow is included in order to inflict enemies with poison or bleeding from a distance.

-This build is very useful in both PvE and PvP combat.
-However, in PvP, some builds will have high enough stats or use certain equipment that will allow them to take quite a bit of Dark damage, which could render the build ineffective.
-This build is versatile enough to be altered to different elements, such as Fire or Magic.. All that really changes is the Dark Clutch Ring, weapon infusions, the spell tool, and the spells themselves.
-While preparing this build, it is highly recommended to start with leveling up for close combat first, as most combat in both PvE and PvP is in close range, thus being purely magic can be difficult for some due to slow casting speed, low stamina, and poor defenses.
-In the final battle with Nashandra, the King's Crown can be useful if the player has acquired all 3 DLC crowns (Crown of the Ivory King, Sunken King, and Old Iron King), and talked to King Vendrick in Memory of The King using the Ashen Mist Heart, as talking to Vendrick with all 4 crowns in your inventory will make Vendrick bless your crown with the "cure" to the curse.
-Vendrick's Blessing prevents you from being cursed, but the Curse Orbs will still drain your current HP. This means you will never become hollowed while wearing a blessed crown.
-You must have obtained all 3 DLC crowns in the same playthrough to obtain his blessing, and the blessing will disappear upon starting a new journey in NG+ or higher, meaning you will have to do it all again to obtain the blessing's effects.
